Cool BMW Software!

Here's where you can find info on BMW screensavers! The original was done by Gary Trickett <g.trickett@bbcnc.org.uk> and could be found at BMW of Canada's website. Of course, it only worked if you've got a Windoze machine:-{ On top of that, it's not on the BMW site any more - but IBMWR's own Steve Aikens has made a copy available from his site - you can get it here!

So, I redid it for all you mac users out there. In order to use it, you'll need to be running After Dark or DarkSide. Then, you'll need to get and intall the PICS Player plugin (38k) which works with both After Dark and DarkSide. If you're running After Dark, it will - I'm pretty sure - need to go in your After Dark folder, which will be in your Control Panels folder. If you're running DarkSide, it can be anywhere on your machine.

As far as I know, After Dark is no longer available. However, Darkside is (it will have to run in the Classic environment for you OS-X folks). You can download it from here.

Now, grab the PICS file (372k) I created.

Open After Dark or DarkSide, select PICS Player to be your screen saver and choose BMW.PICS to be the current file. Make sure you turn off "Invert" and set the Float Speed to your liking.
